What to Expect

Initial Consultation
(60 minutes)
We begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to confirm whether Spravato is appropriate for you. Together, we’ll review your history, prior treatments, and treatment goals.

Treatment Sessions
(2 hours each)
Spravato® treatments take place in our office under supervision, with each session lasting two hours. Treatments are scheduled twice weekly during month one and once weekly during month two. Beginning in month three (maintenance), we will determine your treatment frequency together based on your response and progress.

Ongoing Monitoring
(30 minutes)
We will meet with you for 30-minute follow-up appointments each month and check in at the end of each Spravato® treatment to assess your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

Yes. In most cases, you will continue taking your current psychiatric medications while receiving Spravato® (esketamine). Spravato is used as an adjunctive treatment and is intended to work alongside your existing medication regimen. Your provider will review all of your medications before starting treatment and will continue to monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and any needed adjustments throughout the course of care.

No. Because Spravato may cause temporary drowsiness or dizziness, you cannot drive until the next day. Please arrange a safe ride home after each session.
